Now!
Now! …More than ever before, is the time to
turn on the lights. Light allows for anyone who is
looking to see where they are, and what is in front
of them. Light, it allows and reminds us that we are
not in darkness and we can maneuver in the spaces
we find ourselves in. Light, it takes us to an awakening
and gives us energy to keep on.
The world can be a big and vast place to many. It
can be overwhelming at times, too. Think about it,
the world houses all of nature, all we breathe and
all we see. It houses the opinions of those we may
or may not be in alignment with.
Let me ask you this: what does one do when one’s
light seems to get dimmer and dimmer? When, in a particular
moment, you just cannot find a reason to smile? What
does one do when it seems like the outcome of something
cannot be controlled? What about when a circumstance
arises and things do not go as planned? What do you
do? How do you turn on the light, then?
I know it is not always easy, but it gets easier with
action. In these times, you must remember that ‘you
are a light.’ You are a light within the world,
and although you may not change the world, you can
change your world. So now, today, not tomorrow, is
the time to turn on the light. The light that is within
your soul, the light that houses the gifts that you
behold. The light that speaks to your greatest passions
and contributions to humanity. Turn on your light
and watch it light up the world.
Here are three ways you can turn on your light.
Smile: Look yourself in the mirror and smile at yourself.
Sounds weird? Go on, give it a try. No matter what
you have been through in life, you are still here,
and the next moment can be a new moment. Smile and
watch what happens next.
Be grateful: Even if it is for simply waking up today,
or having the ability to even see and read these words.
When you are in a state of grace, you have no time
to complain. What are you grateful for?
Share yourself: Let someone close to you know how
you feel about them. Tell them how they contributed
to your life. Try it; you will be surprised at the
results.
For this week, I would like for you to remember the
light. Use your light for a higher and brighter expression.
When things of the world may not reflect your light,
deflect it and turn you light on. You will be amazed
at how a little bit will go a long way.
If you turn on your light, I promise you someone else
will, too.
I would love to hear from you regarding how you turned
on your light when it seemed like it was getting dim.
