A Positive start to a rewarding week
BLACKNJ Monday Motivation: A positive start to a rewarding week

BLACKNJ QUOTABLES (QUOTE OF THE WEEK)

"I am America. I am the part you won't recognize. But get used to me. Black, confident, cocky; my name, not yours; my religion, not yours; my goals, my own; get used to me."

— Muhammd Ali (Cassius Marcellus Clay)

 Take Action!

By: Leadership Coach K. Denise Bane, Ph.D.

Accomplishing goals requires ACTION! Have you thought about what you need to do to reach your goals? Let’s say your goal is to advance to Regional District Manager by the time you are 40.

What do you need to do in the next year in order to accomplish that goal? What do you need to do in the next six months? The next 30 days? This week? Today? These details form the basis of your action plan. An action is something that is done or accomplished.

It involves movement toward your goal. You may have a heart of gold—but so does a hard-boiled egg. Having a good heart—a good intention—is wonderful, and an important part of the process.

But the bottom line is that you must act in order to make your goals a reality. It’s more than merely the thought that counts. Take time today to write down the actions you must take in the next six months in order to accomplish one of your goals.
