Searching
for a new job? Why not use this opportunity to follow
your passion? Is your passion in life writing, cooking,
teaching? Use your spare time to move from job searching
to passion pursuit.
Use your spare time to develop the skills necessary
to change your occupation. Take courses or attend
seminars to extend your knowledge in your passion,
instead of in your current occupation. When you
study a field you love, you learn more quickly and
easily.
Turn your hobby into a business. How many of us
have wished we could spend our days enjoying our
hobbies? Try vending some of your wares at a craft
or trade show. Make cold calls on small business
owners with your home made products to see if there
is interest. Offer your services on a volunteer
basis or for minimal payment to get your chosen
career started.
Aren’t sure what your life’s work should
be? Make a list of your strengths. Get additional
lists from trusted friends or family. Use these
attributes to guide you to a new vocation.
Network, network, network. No matter what you want
for your future, you must network. The next person
to whom you express your dream profession may need
your services, or may offer to mentor you to success.
Make your passion your livelihood, and never work
again.
