Before
we can make any other change, we must first change
our minds. Often, we're our own worst enemy. Limiting
beliefs keep us from trying anything new. A "limiting
belief" is an idea that stops us from pursuing
what we truly deserve. For example, if you hear
yourself saying "People like me don't achieve
that level of success," or "I don't deserve
to be happy," you're probably falling victim
to limiting beliefs. But limiting beliefs are just
that - limiting.
People once believed the world was flat until Christopher
Columbus proved it was round! People once believed
that no one could fly faster than the speed of sound,
until Chuck Yeager did it (in a plane, of course)!
People once believed that it was impossible to run
a mile in less than four minutes - in fact, doctors
said that to even attempt to do so would kill you!
- until Roger Bannister ran the mile in 3 minutes,
59.4 seconds! Are your inaccurate beliefs holding
you back? Make a decision today to stop limiting
yourself!
