- NJDOT announces $67.5 million in grants to New Jersey municipalities
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Commissioner Jack Lettiere today announced the award of $67.5 million in Municipal Aid grants to 408 New Jersey towns to fund local safety, rehabilitation, and street improvements. These grants will provide direct property tax relief for municipalities that would otherwise be forced to pay for these improvements using local taxes.

PSE&G President Ralph Izzo to lead capital campaign. Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) and its Foundation today announced a historic $5 million donation to build the PSEG Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick. The hospital will be built on the campus of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and will be the first pediatric center in New Jersey to combine acute care, rehabilitation and research in a single location.

The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) has received a $2 million award from Delta Dental Plan of New Jersey, Inc. to establish the Delta Dental Educational Conference Center in a new Oral Health Pavilion at the UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School. The award will be used to construct three state-of-the-art lecture halls for students that also can be combined into one conference center with a capacity of more than 400.
