Data Processing Associates (New Jersey Chapter)
BDPA is a national, non-profit professional organization founded
by Earl A. Pace, Jr. and David Wimberly in May 1975. BDPA was
formed out of a concern shared by both men that minorities were
not adequately represented in the computer industry.
Garden
State Association of Black Journalists
The Garden State Association of Black Journalists Inc., GSABJ,
exists to unite African-Americans in New Jersey dedicated to
the promotion of equal opportunity, truth and professional excellence
in the fields of print and broadcast journalism.
National
Association of Black Accountants (Northern NJ Chapter)
The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA),
is the premier nationwide membership organization with the primary
purpose of developing, encouraging and serving as a resource
for greater participation by African Americans and other minorities
in the accounting, finance, auditing, business, consulting,
finance, information technology, and related professions.

Interchange's Northern New Jersey Chapter
Our mission is to promote professional development, personal
growth and community service. This is accomplished through various
educational programs, workshops, networking opportunities, and
participation in company, industry and community activities.
National
Black MBA Association (New Jersey Chapter)
The National Black MBA Association, Inc., (NBMBAA), is a business
organization which leads in the creation of economic and intellectual
wealth for the black community. The goal of the New Jersey Chapter
is to create programs that are responsive to the current needs
of its membership and the community at large. These initiatives
commit the organization's resources to bring about fundamental
change in the economic development of the African-American community.
The purpose of these initiatives is to encourage active participation
in issues of local, national, and international significance
for the chapter's corporate, business and community partners.
National
Black Nurses Association (Five chapters in New Jersey)
As with any new organization, the beginning years of the National
Black Nurses Association were devoted to developing and agreeing
upon an appropriate philosophy and mission, organizational structure,
Constitution and By-laws and operating procedures.
National
Sales Network
National Sales Network is a 501-C-3 not-for-profit membership
organization whose mission is to meet the professional and developmental
needs of African-American sales and sales management professionals.
Local chapters conduct seminars on subjects such as selling
skills, negotiating skills, job search, time management, organization
skills and career management. NSN is composed of sales professionals
and entrepreneurs from all industries.
National Society of Black Engineers Region 1 – includes
New Jersey)
The Regional Alumni Executive Board (RAEB) is the governing
body of NSBE Region I Alumni. The RAEB is comprised of persons,
who have received a bachelorís degree, advanced degree,
or is a candidate to receive a degree in engineering, engineering
technology, or applied science from an accredited institution.
The purpose of the Alumni Extension is to support NSBE in a
way that develops and enhances NSBE programs, increases technical
awareness, encourages scholastic achievement, and stimulates
enthusiasm in the Black engineering community in order to promote
technical expertise, professionalism, and fellowship among Black
engineers. |
