| Letter from the President |
Dear New Jersey Residents:
It is simply a fact. There are a variety of critical issues facing New Jersey's Black Community. Some of these matters include: a disproportionate number of career and economic opportunities, a lack of entertainment outlets and a lack of access to quality-of-life resources and information. There is a crystal-clear need for change!
For a number of years, many groups and organizations have taken on the battle of concentrating on and exposing these specific issues and have made enormous efforts for change. However, in order for widespread change to occur, there is an overwhelming need for Black residents, businesses, non-profit and faith-based organizations to unite and build a statewide network with the purpose and common interest of empowering New Jersey’s Black Community.
Undoubtedly, there is strength in numbers, and the goal of BLACKNJ is to build a central network that will cultivate us socially, culturally and economically by providing a depth and breadth of crucial information and resources. Our goal is attainable.
I invite you to Join Us in our pursuit to empower Our Community, both on a local and statewide level. Whether you live or work in Northern, Central or Southern New Jersey, we all share one commonality: we are all members of New Jersey’s Black Community, Our Community.
With Pride,

Joseph
Campbell
President & Founder
